So this is my first update in... 3 months?  Wow, I guess that I have been busy.  Well, I'm back home after spending the past 8 months or so in Ohio (at Cedarville in case you didn't know), and I'm not sure how I feel.  When I was at college, I couldn't wait to get home and see my family and Vince and my friends, which I was really excited to see them all.  Now I just really miss everything in Cedarville.  I didn't realize how spoiled I was out there.  I could go running down the streets late at night and feel perfectly safe, and even though I live in a small town, I don't think that I would go running late at night here.  One of the first things that Melanie said to me when I came back was "If someone is driving with his headlights off, don't flash your headlights to remind him to turn his back on because he might turn around and kill you."  Supposedly there's a new gang in town, and killing whoever flashes at them is their initiation.  All of Melanie's teachers got letters about it in school and were warning the kids about the gang.  Oh the joys of America.  My dad looked it up on-line, and it seemed that people used to send that story around as a hoax, but a few people over 10 years ago were killed from it.  Anyways, the whole story could be made up (even though that doesn't explain why Melanie's school would get so rowled (is rowled a word??) up about it).  Overall, I miss the safety of Cedarville.

And I miss my friends there!  It was so nice living on campus that anytime I wanted to do something, I could just call some friends and I was bound to find someone who wanted to do something.  Even if it was as crazy as getting lost in Enon, having a dance party in our room, or just playing in the park.  I miss all of that!  Sometimes I wish that I lived closer to Cedarville instead of the 6 hour drive so I could just see everyone all the time.  I guess that I knew before that by going to a college in a different state, I was bound to make friends that I probably wouldn't see again after 4 years.  I know that I'll see most of them next year (except my roomate!!!), but it's still hard making such great friends and knowing that I won't be able to see them as much as before.  Maybe we can pull off the whole Cedarpoint day and get everyone together again.  (If you're reading this and didn't hear about our Cedarpoint day, you're welcome to come too.)  Well, all that I wanted to say is that I'm really gonna miss you guys this summer.  I hope that you all have a great summer, and keep in touch.

There once was a girl named Michelle,
A cute little Cedarville belle.
Though her days, they were long,
'Twas her faith that was strong,
And her soul could still say, "It is well."

Michelle likes to make people smile.
Her great comments make days worthwhile.
So we talk and have fun,
While laughing a ton,
With great times in our own little style.

Thanks Tim!  It cheered me up!

So i had this dream a few days ago and i'm trying to figure out what it means....

Okay, so i dreamed that i was back in high school, and we were having a field trip to the zoo.  i don't remember seeing any other animals except these giant butterflies.  i was wearing this pink shirt (hm me wearing a pink shirt, very unpredictable huh?), and so this giant butterfly thought that i was a flower, so it kept landing on my back.  it never hurt me and i wasn't scared of it, but the butterfly wouldn't get off of my back.  my friends kept grabbing it and then i would run and hide, but somehow it would find me and land on me again.  (oh and somehow tim was in my dream cuz i thought that he went to high school with me??)  so finally one of my friends grabbed it and told me to run to my car.  so i was running, and then realized that i hadn't drove there.  so i jumped in this car with this random guy that i went to high school with (by the way, i haven't seen that guy since graduation), and i told him that i was being chased my a giant butterfly.  he obviously didn't believe me and just gave me this weird look for jumping in his car, and then i woke up.

so any dream interpreters out there that wanna interpret this for me?

Facebook is a cult!  "Let's get on facebook and make friends b/c i don't have real friends so i'll make fake ones!"  okay so i've heard that most ppl on facebook have like 200 or 300 friends??  comon, how many of these ppl do you actually know, or actually talk to??  my advice to those of u looking to make friends:  Get off your computer, and walk outside.  I'd rather u make one real friend than 500 fake ones.

ps~ out of curiousity i'm taking a survey... for those of u who use facebook, how many hours a week is facebook sucking your life away?
